Remember last year, when I was nine months preggo and decided it would be great to pack up the toddler and go to the mountains of Asheville, NC for 24 hours? Well, here I go again….
Jayna, Amelia and I have packed up once again and gone to join Betsy, Jay and Lulabelle at Montreat for a couple of days. We left early this morning and will be gone until Thursday night. So, I thought I would leave you with some fond memories of my high school days at Montreat!
Back then, there were no cell phone, digital cameras or online scrapbooking (or Photobucket, for that matter!). So, I dug up my old high school scrapbook from that summer and found the highlight pictures from the retreat!
Don’t you just love my scrapbooking skills? Gotta love the gel pens…
Some famous Montreat traditions….ice cream cone unicorns and late night pyramids. I wonder if they still do this stuff?
Ahh….gotta love those high school boys and their hijinks!
Such good times and great memories! Stay tuned for some more this week!

We used to go to sliding rock all the time in high school and college!
You all look so young! What a great group of kids you were. J, Lu and Mils will get a good laugh looking at these pics some day.
Hi there. found your blog from the article on mommy bloggers in the newspaper. I love blogs and am always on the lookout for ones that appeal to me, and yours surely does. I went through your old posts and was particularly hoping to find a house tour of your new, i believe, house. I can tell I like your taste and there are indications I would really like your house. I was disappointed that the further back I went,I could not see the pics. I finally stopped at around Halloween.Perhaps you can go in as a blog reader and see if the pics appear for you?
I am a Columbia SC resident now but grew up in charleston. I am also a devout Presbyterian, so I could totally relate to th Montreat post. As a matter of fact, my church’s youth group is there this week, I think.
Hi Melanie!
I’m so glad you found me! We had a wonderful time in Montreat last week….stay tuned for some more pictures of our adventures (I’m editing photos right now!). AS for my old pictures, unfortunately I lost most of them when I recently switched to a new platform, so I have been slowly but surely finding them and re-inserting them into my archieved posts. Feel free to subscribe so you’ll get updates each time I post. I have lots of pictures, a few projects and two giveaways in the works for the next few weeks!
